Columbus, get ready! Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival returns to Historic Crew Stadium May 13–16, 2027, and Danny Wimmer Presents is bringing one hell of a lineup along for the ride. Nearly 150 artists will take over five stages throughout the four-day weekend, with Iron Maiden, Blink-182, Korn and Falling in Reverse leading a bill that reaches across generations of rock, metal and punk.
Following a record-breaking 184,000 fans in 2026, the festival is getting even bigger. For those who grew up with Iron Maiden and Alice in Chains, or a younger generation coming out for Turnstile, Knocked Loose and Beartooth, there is plenty here to keep you moving from stage to stage.
The daily lineup leaders include:
- Thursday, May 13: Blink-182, The Offspring and Turnstile
- Friday, May 14: Iron Maiden, A Perfect Circle and Alice in Chains
- Saturday, May 15: Falling in Reverse, A Day To Remember and Beartooth
- Sunday, May 16: Korn, $UICIDEBOY$ and Faith No More
And that is just the beginning. The Prodigy, The All-American Rejects, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Jimmy Eat World, Seether, Primus, Mastodon and The Pretty Reckless are also joining the party. Add Ministry, Meshuggah, Clutch, In This Moment, Testament, The Warning and a long list of others, and choosing which stage to head toward may be the toughest part of the weekend.
There are some appearances on this bill that deserve a little extra attention. Iron Maiden brings its Run For Your Lives 50th Anniversary Tour to Columbus, while Faith No More is scheduled for a rare U.S. reunion performance. Circa Survive will play an exclusive Ohio reunion show, and Beartooth gets the chance to bring it home in front of a hometown crowd.
Ministry’s appearance is billed as the band’s final Columbus show on its farewell tour. Meshuggah and Skid Row will each celebrate their 40th anniversaries, while Ghostemane returns to the stage. Castle Rat is scheduled for one of only two U.S. performances in 2027, and Her Last Sight will make its U.S. debut.
Fans will also find reunion performances from Forever the Sickest Kids, Palisades, Cute Is What We Aim For and The Color Morale, along with rare sets from Relient k, OTEP and Impending Doom. Composer Bear McCreary is joining the lineup as well, adding another interesting name to an already diverse weekend.
DWP General Manager Chamie McCurry described Sonic Temple as a gathering place for the rock community, bringing together the artists who helped build the scene, the bands carrying it forward and the next generation waiting to make its mark. Looking over this lineup, that approach is easy to see.
Of course, the music is only part of what gives Sonic Temple its character. Art pillars, live mural painting and the Art Mart will bring visual artists into the festival experience, giving fans a chance to watch work take shape and take something unique home. Additional details about the 2027 art programming will be announced soon.
Passes are on sale now, with single-day and four-day options available and layaway starting at $1 down. Fans can choose from GA Stadium, GA Field, GA Plus and VIP, along with Rock Royalty and Columbus Owners Club premium experiences.
For those looking to make a full weekend of it, official hotel and admission packages are available through Jampack, with festival re-entry included. Camping and parking options are also available. Private stadium suites can be reserved by contacting Premium@ColumbusCrew.com.
A student offer is planned for eligible fans with a valid .edu address, providing a $125 single-day GA Stadium pass, including fees. Specially priced passes are also available through GOVX for qualifying military personnel, nurses, firefighters and police.
A portion of every pass sale supports the DWP Foundation and its work with local nonprofits and charitable initiatives. The festival’s partnership with Historic Crew Stadium also keeps Sonic Temple in Columbus through at least 2030, giving central Ohio rock fans plenty more to look forward to.
For now, clear those four days in May, get your crew together and take a good look at this lineup. Whether you are coming back for longtime favorites or looking to catch a band you have never seen, Sonic Temple is giving you plenty of reasons to be there.
